Hi all,

I'm currently using 123-Reg to register two domains and also have two email mailboxes related to one of the domains hosted with them. The other domain is just parked for future use (no email) and neither domain have any associated websites. I used to host these through TSOhosts but was automatically moved to 123-reg when they took over. Unfortuately it's renewal time and the prices seem to have gone up 50% so I'm looking to jump ship.

Has anyone got any recommendations for good cheap providers? I couldn't find any recent posts on the subject but going back a few months mythic-beasts seemed to be well thought of, is this still the case?

I use Krystal and can't complain. Just email costs me 8.40 per month and covers all the family email boxes, unlimited size.

I'm a Mythic Beasts user - I now have my own domain and 3 other community based (ie local village entity) domains (with email) hosted with them. No complaints and their tech support is fast and excellent (especially when my tech skils are ... lacking!)

I use one domain with email, ionos. I get a deal for the first year then change the domain at the end of the deal. I don't do web hosting but a media server.

Also mythic beasts, and echo the comment about their support. It's pretty much instant and very good

Same here. Moved to IONOS when my previous hosting bod retired and shut his business, no complaints here.

Another mythic beasts user here. Used to use Krystal when I had many domains, they were great. Now down to 2 active domains used just for email and mythic beasts pricing is much more attractive.

You can't go wrong with either Krystal or mythic beasts, but for your needs I'd be looking hard at MB.

I run a email for a few email for a few domains through Apple iCloud, as it is included in the monthly fee I pay for extra storage anyway.

I've used Fastmail for years for email, and now have some domains with them too.

Blinkweb for web hosting

mxrouting.net for email

Cloudflare for domain reg and CDN

(Do need to be a little techie to use mxrouting, but it's rock solid and high trust scores)

I also use IONOS for domain hosting. For email, I recently switched to Proton from Fastmail. I didn't really have any complaints re Fastmail, but Proton has a more combined offering that I already use more of.

I've used NewBlog since the early 2003. Who could forget my NZOZ04 for my lad's rugby tour of NZ and OZ in 04? It's mainly set up for Wordpress, or other CMS. In that time, I've had no problems with them. It changed ownership around 2008, but it was invisible. I recently had a minor query, rated it medium, and had a reply in 2 hours.

Don't forget that there's no need to have your email and domains with the same provider. Depending on the domain 'value', some providers seem to pluck a number out of the air for hosting. I use IONOS, 123reg, GoDaddy and have heard good things about Mythic Beasts for domains, I redirect my personal domain email MX from IONOS to a Gmail account for simple needs, but depending on how fancy you want your email services you may need to pay for mail hosting on top.

Another happy customer here of Blinkweb (HantsRat). Use cloudflare as domain registrar (used to be Google domains, before they sold to squarespace) and Blinkweb for website and email hosting.
