The new switch

Has anyone taken on the new switch? More of the same? mobile PC? Or not worth it with steamdesk, Allys and so on?

I'm not really seeing the Steamdeck/ROG as a direct competitor, despite the fact they look similar.

The tech, games and audience are different. Nintendo however have completely taken the "second console" marketspace, anyone I know who has a Xbox/PS/SD/ROG pretty much has a Switch as well. Not sure I know anyone who has a Switch as their one and only/primary console.

The 2 looks alright but it reminds me of the Wii/Wii U. Not enough of an upgrade to splurge the money when I already have a Switch anyway especially as a secondary console and I think much like the Wii U, after the initial fans get one it'll not live up to the heights of the original console.

Switch is the only console that gets used in my house (there is a PS4 and 3 plus Wii U and almost every 8bit - 64bit console too)

I will be getting a Switch 2 - but I forgot they released this week. Will probably order one over the weekend at some point.

Couldn't get one for launch annoyingly but have a Switch + Mario Kart bundle pre-order hopefully coming mid june.

Really looking forward to the new Donkey Kong game coming out next month.

Amazon had them yesterday but looks like they sold out. If there was a new Zelda I'd have bought one, but there's no stand out game for me yet.

Agreed, not a great launch lineup. In my opinion every Nintendo console launch should have a Zelda or proper Mario game.
