Old and new drivers and official supply

I think the USB wireless/wifi adaptor for my computer is on the blink.
TP-link Archer T2U Plus.

The driver was dated 2024, actually version 1030.44.1014.2024

so I went on the tp-link website to update the driver, and it gives me a really old driver 1030.29.1102.2017 as the official and latest one.
The last bit 1102.2017 refers to the date for the driver 11/02/2017, so the previous one was dated 10/14/2024

Question: Why does the official tp-link website give me a year2017 driver and Windows update driver function through Device manager give me a 2024 driver and which should I use?

Because the drivers are supplied by windows, so no need to have them on the website, Probably.
