Youtube not displaying menu

Any idea why on my MacBook using Safari I often can't view the menu in Youtube, the part on the left of the screen showing subscriptions, history etc. Then a few days later it all appears. I've cleared all cookies etc.

My screen currently looks like this...




When clicking om the menu nothing comes up...
