Vibration Sensor

Can anyone recommend a vibration sensor that can record vibration levels on the device or send via wifi etc?

This is to monitoring HGVs driving by our house and the vibration levels caused as they pass to gather evidence to pass to the council.

You can get accelerometer ICs, often built into compass ICs, we used to use them with an arduino to measure vibration.

Most phones have these built in, so maybe an accelerometer ap would meet your needs?

Be careful what you wish for, traffic calming measures like speed humps can be a big problem. If the road is a Principal road the highway authority are unlikely to act. If its a local distributer then banning HGVs can be problematical. Bin wagons, deliveries etc..
