I think my 2017 ipad pro 10.5 inch is nearing its battery lifetime….and was thinking of buying a newer model. Not really needing another Pro as i just use it for youtube and emails….has anyone

Is there a method of checking the battery capacity on this pro? And what model would you choose?

Thanks

If you don't use/need the Pro functionality etc; just get the standard current 10.9" iPad, or if you want to splurge a bitm more, get the current iPad Air

My 2017 iPad Pro 12.9" doesn’t charge very well, I think the socket is borked.

I recently went for the new air 13" to replace it as I don’t use the ‘pro’ features, but wanted maximum screen size.

Very pleased with it and £400ish cheaper.

You can check but it’s convoluted as its not a built in feature, so you have to manually drill into systems logs. Quite a few tutorials out there.

But a 7 / 8 year old iPad, the battery will be borked, so I think that will be a waste of time.

Just get a new iPad or iPad Air. I also only watch videos, browse the web on it, but got the Air because it has a M chip so probably will be better supported with features going forward.
