Humax PVR

Our Humax HDR-1100s has has died after a few years service. A replacement hard drive failed to fix it so I'm looking for a replacement.

Are there any Freesat enabled PVRs available that actually allow back-ups for the items recorded?

Not an answer, but how do you backup? I could only copy files below a certain size because of FAT32 or something.

Have a browse here, plenty of these systems are Linux based and will allow you to copy whatever you record to wherever you want. May be not the most straight forward to setup but very versatile.

I have had one of these for about a year now. It takes a normal sata 2.5 inch drive so you could probably use the one you just bought.
