Jerryrigeverything has done a couple of videos on these phones, I'd not even heard of them before.

They seem pretty good, I'm not a big gamer but the very large battery is appealing plus the form factor looks pretty good and the price is reasonable compared to top end Apple and Android phones.

Any downsides coming from a series of Samsungs? Or opinions in general?

I was seriously considering one, enough that I paid the early access fee BUT two things that stopped me;

Camera reviews poorly, very poorly in comparison to other phones at a similar price point
Only supported for a single Andriod major version update

Still debating with myself or I may just wait for Nothing 3 given the good experience I had wth the Nothing 1

I guess that's the sacrifice for not have the lenses bulging out of the case. Assuming they're no worse than my S20 I wouldn't be too worried at that. Lack of updates after 2 years would be a bit of a worry though, seems a bit mean.

I've bitten the bullet and ordered one.

My S20 has a few issues developing, a charging issue, diminishing battery life and screen burn being the major ones.

And because I'm a tart I've gone for the one with real gold and silver in it rofl although the sapphire glass front and back, deeper scratches at level 9, really does appeal in a functional way.

It arrived yesterday.

Just getting to grips with it at the moment but no regrets so far.

Seems like it'll be unlikely I'll bump into anyone with the same phone.

Bit of an interesting follow up.

I'd had my 10Pro Golden Saga for a little over a year. Absolutely loved the phone. It would last over a day even with ridiculously heavy usage. Loved the trinkety bits of the limited edition Golden Saga version. I genuinely loved using it every day.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and my immaculate and totally undamaged phone was knocked out of my hand by an overzealous cleaner swinging a door into my face at work.

Cracked a corner of the screen, it had crazed about 1cm square but otherwise worked fine. Absolutely gutted but remembered phone insurance comes with my bank account.

Paid the excess and sent it off having checked that genuine screens were available for about £300. Current value of the phone hard to gauge but the newest limited edition was available at the same price I paid for mine (now sold out) and the current value even damaged was likely to be atleast £500.

Get a message a few days later saying it cant be repaired and they will replace. That's where the fun began.

I'd much, much rather just have my phone back and I'd put a new screen on it myself, I'd even forgo the £75 excess I paid them.

Rang them up, "we've destroyed it", you can have a regular 11Pro. Worth about £500 less.

Worked out as they haven't actually paid out they've destroyed property I own without asking. Spoken to someone who knows the industry and they tell me they're digging deeper and deeper to get out of a hole they've dug. Were currently at the stage of seeking Subject Access requests and all sorts biglaugh

Even if the new version was available I don't actually like it as much as mine. But the only ones for sale now are from speculators at about £2k so resigned to never getting one again.

I'm holding out for getting my full money back though and I'm convinced it's not been destroyed and has been pocketed.

Not sure why I'm putting it on here but I'm genuinely gutted, which sounds a little pathetic but there we are.

If the screens are available to buy, then they are replaceable, so you've already caught them out in a lie. Check the T&Cs, there's probably something in there about it not being possible to return phones to the customer.

Is it worth now reporting the phone stolen and can it be blocked from use?

After refusing their "last and final offer" and informing them that I would like resolution through the Ombudsman they initially accepted and I thought we'd be in for weeks of arbitration, not exactly sure how that process works.

Well they rang today to ask if I'd accept the full purchase price of the phone. I briefly thought about it before accepting.

There was apparently a reasonably good chance I could have held out for the inflated collectors price (a further £500 on top) but life is too short for that kind of aggro. Down £75 and one of my favourite possessions but they've finally done the right thing.

Amazing the amount of "computer says no", "we can't do that", "I am the authority" "that's the company policy" I heard over the last couple of weeks. I absolutely hate feeling bullied by big companies, just ignore their bullst and stick to the point and they fold eventually.

They may actually record the calls because she said we'll settle this time but we won't be paying out on limited editions next time should their be one, her exact words hehe

Don't lose, bin or steal my stuff and almost certainly lie to me then.
