Hi Guys,
Bought my current iPad in late 2016, so strictly speaking, it owes me nothing. In the last few weeks, it has started to switch off and need recharging when it shows 60-70% battery remaining. However, this week, it is refusing to turn on at all and despite being charged up overnight it is showing the indicator suggesting it is not charged. Is there anything that I can do to get it working again? Assuming the battery is buggered, is there anywhere that will be able to replace the battery? The obvious thing to do is buy a new one, but finances are a bit tight, so that really isn't an option at the moment.
Thanks in anticipation for all constructive responses.

Pretty sure plenty of places will replace a battery - no idea of the cost, mind you. If you pop a location, others may have ideas.
Mine has done a little bit of freezing up....I am considering a factory reset to clear things a bit. Obviously be sure to move off any data like photos, if you try that!

I had a similar issue on a previous iPad where basically, the battery failed and made the unit inoperative.
I shopped around for a new battery and the general consensus was that I was looking at a cost of between £80 to £120 so not a cheap fix when compared with the cost of the fully refurbished units available on Amazon for £140+ etc.

Hi Guys,
Just to finish off this thread. A couple of days after my original post, while doing some admin, I discovered that my iPad was covered on my Sky protect insurance. After a quick phone call, they arranged for its collection,it was repaired inside a week and is functioning as normal. It turns out it was both the battery and another issue which would have cost £££. To say that I am well pleased is an understatement. Thanks for all the help.👍

No, wasn’t damaged in any way. I just thought it was a battery/power issue, but apparently, as well as the battery, it needed a “digitiser” too. The policy is about £15 per month, but covers all my Sky gear plus up to 4 of my devices, eg TV, iPad, mobiles etc. I must admit to being really impressed with it and obviously pleased at the outcome.
