HP Laptop Both mic and camera not working

Was on a Zoom call last night.
Logged in ok and got the others on screen, speaker was ok
However my 'box' was blank and they could not hear or see me
In the end i was like Capt Pike in Star Trek clicking the mute inicator on and off to let them know i could hear them



Is there an easy way of checking if both are 'terminal' or can be put back in working order
The settings seem to be in order

Do they appear in Device Manager - look under "Audio inputs and outputs" and "Camera" respectively.

If you run "camera" does that show anything?
