I definitely used to have an app, but I don't use my iPad much anymore, was always very clunky though.

https://web.whatsapp.com/ will work.

No App. I suspect many people would bin off their phones and just use Whatsapp via iPad if it was a viable option.

Yep there was a third party app that was free. Seems to have been rebranded as “Dual Messenger” and is now a paid for app.

Each time I re click on the Home Screen icon after a while it takes me to the “link device qr” page.

Am I missing something about keeping it open/synched?

A PC is hardly an iPhone alternative, whereas an iPad conceivably is (and half the price).

Yeah people really want to carry their iPad everywhere. Smartphone usage has tailed off. Just needs that pesky WhatsApp iPad app to kill the market completely. What is Zuckerberg thinking?

New iPad mini is £649 wifi and cellular. 128gb memory, A17 pro chip and 8.3" screen.

Seems better value than an iPhone - can you make calls via iMessage and WhatsApp web?

It's still not as convenient as a phone, it doesn't exactly slip into your pocket, or do you have a man bag for it?

Do the "Linked Devices". The pad will remember for quite a while so you won't have to link every time.

I’ve spent too much of the past week in airports - everyone has a phone, only a few folk using iPads to watch movies.
