Clearing out a relative's house found this box unopened, no idea what it does, has technology moved on or is it worth selling ?

Thanks.

Says its out of date now. Not sure how much it will be worth if not compatible with the latest display technologies.

Basically you stick it against your screen and the software automatically adjusts the display to suit a particular profile. Used by people like graphic designers who need colour accuracy.

Did you look it up on ebay and see the prices for the completed auctions?

The software is on the device itself but needs a licence key, which sets the version you install. I would have thought the true expire-able component would be how it connects to the computer as software is 'just' software (you may need to set/run backward compatibility) just more modern versions will have far better control and it may be the case that modern pixel density confuses older devices.
It is a really old version though, not sure what the latest is by I have a Spyder5 and that went out of support or legacy support a year or so back.
