So I’ve been watching YouTube for years on an iPad.
Been with Virgin for broadband for a while.
Recently videos keep pausing as they’re playing/buffering which never used to happen.
I’ve just done a broadband speed test and get 135 Mb/s download.

There’s no one else in the house and nothing else using broadband I don’t think.
Anyone any idea why I’m getting the lag?
The 3 bar wifi icon on the screen does seem to keep dropping from 3 to 2 bars.
Could it be the fairly ancient router?
I’m a couple of rooms away from the router. Would Wi-Fi booster/extenders help?

Thanks all.

I often get buffering these days but the adverts never buffer for some reason.

I don't get buffering but the picture quality goes very grainy at times (I have 200mb) but the adverts are always crystal clear, weirdly the worse one for it is Harry's Garage, which is very odd for it to be specific to certain channels but I never watch a video on his channel that at some point doesn't go grainy.

I think that has something to do with when the video is loaded and how quickly you watch it though.
