so i have some under counter led strips in the kitchen that id like to automate. They are just connected to 240v led drivers, i cant really find any decent priced 240v zigbee led drivers so was just going to stick a 12v one inline with the 12v out from the driver. most seem to be addressable colour ones so i assume i can just connect my single colour strips to say w and v- without issue i have no idea what kind of leds they are so is there anything else to look out for?

Just wire these in line before the LED drivers, so the output from the switch is input to the drivers?

How do you switch them on now? Just replace whatever that switch is with a zigbee version no need to get a new power supply.

It's a grid module and I haven't seen any ZigBee ones. Also and there is no room in the back box

like this? I have no real idea as I have never come across grid stuff.

But it is just a switch, so could be replaced by any switch surely?

Ikea Tradfri stuff is zigbee and they do LED controllers that may or may not be compatable.

Otherwise have you got space to fit something like a Sonoff zbmini in the 240v line somewhere?

How many switches in the grid? You can get 3 gang zigbee switches that fit on single back box, eg Moes, and there are some around that go on a double back box but they're fairly rare.

4 switches needed if replacing it all in a double box but could drop to 3 and just have these perm on using wago's and just control with home assistant as they are are going to be perm on anyway

plenty of space the drivers are just sat under the cabinets the led strips are just under the counters

I'm confused. I thought you said you had 240V LED drivers? Or are they really 240V to 12V transformer/drivers?
