As per title, looking to replace my 3yr old Samsung A52s. Looking for another android, happy with new or decent refurbished, must have NFC (Google Pay compatible) and wireless charging. Willing to spend somewhere in the +/- 200 mark. Share your recommendations...

I would have suggested the Nothing CMF 1 but wireless charging eliminates that.

Wireless at that price reduces the options - here's a starter (and you can tweak the filters):

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo gets positive reviews - slightly over your price:

Xiaomi Mi Note 10. Superb phone with outstanding cameras, but no wireless charging. You are going to struggle with wireless charging in the marketplace / range.

I used the above for ages .

We bought the Edge 40 NEO earlier this year. Perfect for us, the camera is superb, and the phone is as good as any other. I charge mine every 4 days or so.

By way of update I managed to pickup a pristine restored Motorola Edge 30 Ultra for £150. Very happy with my purchase.

Motorola do seem to have hit the low cost but good android market well, ive had two now, and will get another when it dies. Not that its showing any signs of it. Under £200 new, and had it about 3 years now. Im sure there are better phones with better cameras, but you cant complain for the price, it just works.

Had Motorola for many years, but the last one was terrible. It was so bad, slow, clunky, inconsistent with wifi calling, that I ended up beating the living crap out of it - and subsequently buying a Samsung. So, no Motorola is not a best buy in this household at the moment.

I'd have agreed after my Moto Power phone from many years ago but now i have a Razr 40 Ultra and the software is bloody great. It all works and there isn't any bloatware.

For that budget you can get a good second-hand S22 I would have thought. No idea why anyone buys new these days, phones are so good, replace the battery and you have an almost new device.

You answered your own question. Who can be bothered with that, when new phones come packaged with airtime, ‘free’ gadgets like smart watches or earbuds, and a nice easy, monthly payment?
