Been with Vodafone on the same number for many years and have been using an e SIM.

Had an issue with my last phone in that I was getting a lot of people saying they couldn't get through. Switched phones (pixel fold) and I've still got the same issue.

Global call forwarding is not enabled.

The odd call does get through and it works fine calling outbound

Any ideas?

Anything to do with a form of "do not disturb"? I have three contacts that can get through that on my iPhone and the rest go to voicemail.

Not much help but maybe a start point.

Or have you set the phone to only allow certain 'known' numbers. Mine has this great feature where it knows if a number is 'likely' to be spam or a scam, and it can then block them.

I’ve noticed over the past few months that receiving calls on both Vodafone and o2 has become a bit of a lottery which I’ve put down to poor signals and living in the country.
I’ve had my phone next to me and yet no call seemingly received until the voice message comes through ( o2 ) and my wife on Vodafone often doesn’t get the call and even the voice message can then take hours to come through !

Get a new SIM from your provider or go eSIM. I assume you have reception that works so it would suggest the SIM could be the problem.

Also you can call *#61# from your phone (this code and then call) and it should tell you of your call divert/forward status.

I had a similar(ish) problem on my Samsung. Incoming texts just went to a voicemail which was often empty. Which was a real hassle with things like banking texting notification codes etc.

May have also had a problem with calls but don't get many. (Billy no mates)

Eventually cured it by following

Settings> General Management > Reset > Reset Mobile Settings > Reset Settings.

Thanks for the suggestions

I've tried the above with no success - deleted my wife's contact card and made a new one and it's working.

I couldn't see anything different in the settings on her card to that of my daughter's, which did work.

It's definitely related to a change of phone as I noticed a missed call from an agent the day before I switched phones and he is currently going straight to voicemail.

I have a comparable issue: Redmi handset on Smarty.

I have a theory that the issue is caused by an unsuccessful negotiation of Voice of Wi-Fi. However, i have done nothing to validate my half-baked hypothesis.

I am upgrading to a Pixel in the coming weeks and I am hopeful that this issue will depart ith my Redmi.
