Moving email hosting......help me.....
Discussion
Firstly, go easy on me.....my detailed tech knowledge is somewhat limited!
I have an email (domain / email acquired and still registered on Godaddy) that is hosted on Stackmail. It works fine.
When I moved the hosting over to Stackmain, I changed the nameserves on Godaddy as requested by the website developer. I dont think I did anything else.
I want to move the domain hosting back to Godaddy......all control in one place / cheaper etc.
Do I just need to change the nameserves back to the Godaddy default? Anything else?

Change your nameservers back. The email will work again.I have an email (domain / email acquired and still registered on Godaddy) that is hosted on Stackmail. It works fine.

To have email on Stackmain, you just change your MX records at GoDaddy.
To have a website, you change some A/CNAME records at GoDaddy.
You don't need to use any other name servers but you do need to get your DNS to point correctly to where your email and web is hosted.

... or genuinely do not understand the complications it can cause.
He says his email is using stackmail.com - which means it's with 20i.If the domain's nameservers aren't with 20i, his site can't use their standard Let's Encrypt SSL certificate (which is verified through the nameservers).

As advised switch them back and then update whatever record is required to point to the website.
So if he has a site on 20i servers, moving the nameservers means purchasing a Simple, Wildcard or Extended certificate if it's currently using a Let's Encrypt one.Unless there isn't currently a live site. In which case it's a moot point.
After switching nameservers and changing MX, how's the OP at setting up DMARC, DKIM and SPF TXT records? I'm presuming he wants his emails to get delivered, avoid mail spoofing in his name and spam blacklists?
OP - going from 20i (one of the best hosting providers in the UK *) to GoDaddy There's a LOT of reasons not to make that move. Price isn't everything.
But it's your emails, your site, your business... I'm out.
