LG TV Loses sound if TiVo box FFWD

I had a Sony Bravia for years.
It was connected to my TiVo box and worked well.

Recently the TV died so I replaced it with an LG 50 inch.

The problem I now find is that if I fast forward through the ads on a recorded program I will lose sound totally at random.

It doesn't do it every time and sometime it will lose synchronisation with the picture.

The only fix seems to be to turn off/ on either the TV or TiVo.


Anyone had similar issues or suggest a fix?

Seems to be a common issue.

Only one guy seems to have described the same symptoms although there are many posts about losing sound in general.

I'm going to get on to LG next week I think.
