Why Would Someone get a Google Pixel 9 over Iphone 16 now?
Discussion
I mean I only used to get Pixels because they provided really good value for money and they had great cameras, but now they cost identical.
Actually Pixel is way way more expensive because it looses it's value pretty much Instantly.
Within a year in Depreciation the Pixel costs 3x more than an Iphone.

I'd pay more not to have an iPhone if I had to.
Guess I'm probably not the only one.
God yeah. I have 5 x windows laptops in the household plus 4 x Android Handsets and three Google audio devices.Guess I'm probably not the only one.
I can make my way around the Windows, Android and Google ecosystems easily enough. In the past I've had employers make me use Apple phones and tablets and I was not at all happy having to learn a third OS/ecosystem. Plus all the nonsense with cables, chargers etc etc.
I'd pay more to stay away from iOS......
I became an Android user because iPhone call quality was so poor back in the day.
These days, I use both (work issue iPhones) but still prefer Android. Both have merged to become ever more like each other over the years though.
Pixel 9 and iPhone 16 are both fine choices, it’s more a preference thing these days.
If you want a more budget phone the Pixel a series are frequently on discount and are very decent phones for their price, and I would argue are superior to the iPhone SE. 4.7 inch phone with single lens camera in 2024!

I hate iOS, find it maddening to use (have an iPhone for work), much prefer Android, especially Google's version.
IOS is like a blind person who has tried to draw someone. Nothing is set out logically.
I prefer vanilla android as well. Pretty much all the performance issues with android are because of a custom UI on top of it.
However the big reason I won't by an Apple product is because I want to own the devices I buy, not pay £1000 and still not be in control of them.
That being said, I passed on the Pixels despite being a huge fan of the preceeding Nexus series. The brilliant thing about Android is that you're not restricted to one vendor, don't want a Pixel, you've options for days.

iPhone all the way!! Tried Android a few times with Samsung and it’s rubbish and not intuitive in comparison.
iPhone just works seamlessly even with my Windows laptop. Android has more bugs and even though is probably a more open platform is less well resolved compared to iPhone.
iPhone is expensive to buy but tge phones are solid and last well.
Each to their own but Apple Pay is part of my everyday use of my phone. Google Pay not as widespread.

Given the iPhone 'just works' I'd love to know what doesn't 'just work' on an android device.
I'd imagine it's more a case of you're used to iOS and that's why it seems to 'just work '
Someone who is used to android could probably say that just works .Certainly the 1st time I used an iPhone it wasn't at all instinctive but I was used to android.
Wasn't it a marketing term used by Apple in their advertising back in the day ?

For me, its purely the operating system. I have had Android since they were a thing and for me they just work. I have an Iphone for work and as much as I try I just don't like it.
I do however know plenty of people that like the Iphone and wouldn't touch a Android device.
As for the Pixel 9? I have ordered one as I have the Pixel 6 and it just felt like the natural upgrade after 3 years.

I hate mobile phones in general, have never had an I anything because i refuse to pay what I consider to be a lot of money for one.
Presently have a five year old Huawei which I thought was too expensive at the time and will not pay a lot to replace it. I find Google does work fine for me although I much preferred my old Windows phone and would have bought another if they were still going.
