Long term Pixel User here, I probably want to try the Iphone 16 Pro Base Storage Model to see how the camera is.

Can anyone give me an idea how big of a Hit would I take If For example I would Order It at near Launch and maybe use for 2-3months and try to sell it?

Is there any Specific TimeFrame usually how long they keep their Value at the Maximum Point until they start to drop in price?

For example I never Purchase Google Pixel Phones at Launch as they loose half of their value in just a few months, but I know It's different with Iphone.

If you can share your experience if you have done something similar in past that would be great!

The OP might find that a little difficult on launch day of the 16 Pro (as in the original post).

OP,

It’ll obviously come down to supply and demand, and we have little to no idea what that’ll be.

I'd say they lose about 40% of their value in the first year and plateau for another year or so after that. I've got a 14 Pro Max that I've not used for a year but haven't got around to selling and they seem to go for around £650 to the likes of Mazuma and CEX.

If you want to try the camera then you get 14 days to return it anyway, so I'd just order on launch day and return it if the camera doesn't meet your expectations.

From what I've read it's only the wide angle camera that's getting an upgrade this time, so will depend on how much you use that. If it's mainly the standard camera then a used iPhone 14 or 15 pro might be pretty similar in terms of results.

It will presumably depend what supply and demand are like for the new model, the new price might get slashed if it doesn't sell well, or they could be in demand and people paying over the odds.

You could look at refurb sellers to get a general idea of what used prices are like, I used I-outlet near Plymouth, by 18 months old, iphones seem like sensible money. I guess resellers have sensible margins so their buy prices will be low?

Have a look on eBay for 2-3 month old phones. Mind you the bid / ask spread is quite large. I was after an 'as new' iPhone 15 Pro Max and the savings were only around £200 .. would rather hold out for a 16 Pro Max!
