I’ve recently upgraded to full fibre which involved a new cable through the wall directly into the router.

I now have a disconnected master phone socket with 3 extension outlets on a redundant ‘network’. The new internet package deleted the landline.

Could I use an ethernet(?] to phone line cable (the cable normally used to connect a phone line to a modem / router) to connect the router to the old phone line circuit and then take a line from the bedroom extension phone line socket into the TV?

Probably not but I don’t understand this level of tech - just wondering whether I can use the old phone circuit as a wired extension for my router.

Yes it can work, I have done it, but it depends how many cores the cables have. As above your speeds could be limited as it may not be proper CAT5/6 cable.

Use TP Links, they utilise the neutral wire in the AC. Best if on same socket circuit.

Thank you all. The idea is only to run streaming TV in the bedroom. The TV does wirelessly connect to the router but occasionally struggles I bought a wireless extender but it’s more hit and miss than going directly to the router.
