My iPhone 14 has stopped receiving verification code texts from any source. It was fine last weekend but on Monday at work the verification texts from Microsoft didnt come through and I have now found that I am unable to receive them from any source. I have followed suggestions found on Google to no avail. The phone hasn’t carried out an update so it can’t be that. Any ideas please as I need to order a prescription and can’t do it as the NHS app needs a code !

I reckon it's your mobile network. You know what I'm about to suggest? Turn your phone off and on. Then ask someone to text you, or send yourself a text from another phone.

Are you receiving any texts? If not then check your SMSC setting in case it became corrupted. I got used to checking as OnePlus updates kept corrupting it on my phone,

Thanks for the replies. I can send and receive texts, it's just the verification ones that do not come through. The only other thing that has been suggested is to remove and replace the sim card which I will try and if that doesn't work I will contact o2. Cheers.

Are you actually sending and recieving text messages though (green bubbles) ... or are they imessages that you are sending / receiving (blue bubbles)?

What network are you on?

In the last 6 weeks I have changed mobile networks because of the same reason.

I was on O2 but their signal became awful very suddenly, I moved to Spusu who run on EE's network and they were awful, a number of issues but one was the same with verification codes, and other SMS messages too not coming through.

I am now on Talk Mobile who seem to be fairly decent and I get all my messages again

Hi, am able to send and receive both text and iMessages. It’s just the confirmation texts that I am not receiving.

Had this a few months back on GiffGaff (owned by O2)

The solution was to goto Settings -> Mobile Service -> Network Selection and manually select another network (e.g. Vodafone)

Then change the network back to automatic

When I did this I all of the missing codes were delivered.

Hi, thank you for the suggestion but sadly this hasn't worked for me.
