Hello computer people! thumbup

I'd like to buy a cheap, 10 inch tablet.

I plan to use it when travelling for TV apps and the occasional Zoom meet. Nothing else.

I'd really prefer something that responds and opens apps quickly.

What would you suggest?

Thank you.

Thanks. I've not thought of one of those.

I've not bought Apple for years. What model will stay current for long enough?

Where's the diagram with 'cheap' 'fast' and 'longevity' in and only two can be selected... smile

Another vote for an iPad, especially in terms of app support etc.

The current iPad (10th gen) should fit the bill, USB-C connectivity & charging as well.

This.

Or refurb flagship android models.

If you're using a middle-top spec smartphone, any brand new £100-200 tablet will seem ridiculously slow.

I actually find top spec Kindle tablets ok, especially for the price point, but the lack of Play Store annoys me.

Used "Back Market" before with absolutely no issues at all for refurbed tech.

Been very pleased with the Doogee tablets I bought recently ...

two T30 Pros (11")

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CDGBMTK4?psc=1&r...

and a T20 (8.4")

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CDGZX7KN?psc=1&r...

If you prefer a 10", they do them too ... eg:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D7PZ5V1D?psc=1&r...

You can google support life for the models. By example my 2019 iPhone 11 will be supported until 2026.

Can you add extra memory to them, my phone currently has a 512GB SanDisk in it.

I see it has 128ROM (TF 1TB). Im not great on terminology but is ROM read only memory, im not 100% sure what that means, can you add things like music and films (I rip my own DVDs) to it? paperbag

Tablet memory is confusing.

Taking the T30 Pro as an example:

15gb ROM is the RAM equivalent of a PC. In this case, its actually 8gb physical, plus 7gb virtual.

256gb is the on board storage for apps, data etc etc

TF 2TB is the biggest removable memory card you can add.

Shed loads of room for movies, music etc
