Do BT wifi extender discs work with non-BT equipment?
Discussion
I've currently got BT broadband with the "discs" that extend the router signal around the house.
I'm thinking of leaving BT as they want £30 a month for coaxial 25Mbs whereas I can get fibre for £30 or £40 a month.
However, would the BT discs still work with a future non-BT router, or would I need to purchase new signal boosters and if so, could anyone recommend?

If it's the discs that are designed to partner with the router - probably not (maybe they have a standalone mode?).
If its the 'whole home' discs that were sold as a stand alone system - yes. They act as a Wireless Access Point and everything connected to them appears to your hub/router as devices plugged into whatever ethernet port you used for the 'base' disc.

To summarise
These do - they are the white ones sold

The Black Discs that come with the router and are part of the wifi guarantee only work with the BT Home Hub.
