I signed up for Duolingo a while ago, then the kids got interested so my wife created accounts for them. As they are minors the app wanted her email address as their parent or guardian. Their accounts then got created with this weird amalgamation of her email address name + their usernames. She gets emails relating to their activity in Duolingo, they don't really have their own email addresses yet.

I later decided to try the Duolingo family plan and assumed that as the kids and I all follow one another, I'd be able to offer them the family plan places that way, but no. I can send it via email, SMS, whatsapp, Facebook message, LinkedIn, smoke signals, you name it - none of which the kids have. I sent one to the wife who has now signed up but she doesn't seem to be able to then forward that to the kids.

Anyone been able to do this?

Feel a little silly answering my own question but in case it helps anyone, I found that it's possible from the website when logging in from a desktop, just can't be done from the app apparently.
