Help please, I have been offered one of two free laptops, and being an ignoramus I don't know which one to take.

Both are HP Envy, with 15.6" touchscreens that convert into a tablet, and both also have 512GB SSDs and 16GM RAM. I know that I like these because they are what I use at work so I would be silly not to have one, especially as my personal laptop is at death's door.

The only difference I can spot is the processors, which are as follows:

Laptop 1 >>> AMD Ryzen 7 5825U Octa-core, 2.0 GHz / 4.5 GHz

Laptop 2 >>> Intel i7-1065G7 1.3 GHz / 3.9 GHz

Would I even notice a difference? All I ever do is browse the Internet, edit and store photos and documents and watch YouTube.

Personally, I'd take the Ryzen 7. It is a newer chip and does have higher performance according to several benchmark sites.

Big time, it has over double the benchmark score of the (4 generations old) i7

Fully agree with this.
