(Tasker) AutoWear on Galaxy watch
Discussion
Does anybody use this?
I've been using Tasker on my phones for years. I want to use Autowear - but I can't get it to work.
It installs on watch (Galaxy watch 4) and phone (Oneplus Open). When I run it on the phone, it lists the watch in devices I can connect to. But it's clearly not connecting - if I click on Tiles / Complications etc. it says it's reading from the phone but then shows nothing. I can't set up any tasks etc.
Any ideas? After using Tasker, I expect to be able to figure out "how" to use it - if I could get started!
Somehow, managed to get it working now.....

Tasker really is utterly brilliant.
I have been keeping my key file (for Keepass password manager) on a USB stick - but I was getting a bit irritated by having to get the USB whenever I needed a password. I've always kept it on my watch as well - so a few days ago, started manually sending it from my watch to the phone when I wanted to use Keepass.
For security - whenever the phone was locked, Tasker wrote to the file (to corrupt it, just to be safe) and then deleted it - and it warns me if it unlocks and finds the file present.
That all worked great.
But - Autowear just makes this even better. Now - when I start Keepass on the phone, the watch automatically sends the key file to the phone. I have the security of a key file stored offline from the phone - but it's as simple as if I haven't bothered.
(If somebody steals my phone and watch this is still only going to happen if they can unlock both of them, in which case they had access to the keyfile anyway).
