HI

I've got a couple of dead smartphones that I would like to take the data before off before selling on ebay. One I've tried to power overnight with no results The other went in abig big puddle of mud...Is there a way of turning on the phones by connecting an external power supply.

Any suggestions to help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

As long as they are android and not encrypted then the "easiest" way is to extract the data from the emmc.

Easy being a relative term.

How much do you expect to get on eBay for a dead phone? And is it worth the risk for that amount?

I get all the data out of my old phones and hard drives using a club hammer. All over the garden patio.

are you trying to retrieve the data or remove it?
Title suggests retrieve but post isn't clear.
