Facebook, Marketplace, location

I have wasted ages trying to resolve this issue.

I used to live in France, but now I live in the UK. When I go to Marketplace it says that I am in Paris, nowhere near where I used to live. It asks me for a postcode, but will not accept anything other than a French one.

My actual location is available to the App, I have deleted and reinstalled the App, but nothing will budge it from believing I am in Paris.

During the winter, it seemed to accept that I was spending time in Spain. I even sold stuff there, without issue.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get myself out of this conundrum? There seems to be no way to contact humans and their FAQ are useless, even when I have tried all their suggestions.

I always know that I am in trouble when no one from here has an answer for a fix.

How are you setting your location? On my Facebook Marketplace, i can set it to anywhere just by typing into the box.

Just as an experiment i set it Paris and then back to a UK address and it changed all the ads to the local ones in each case.

I have tried to do what you did and it will not budge.

I created an account for my wife’s iPad and it opened with a location in Marbella. I clicked on and set our current address and it switched easily.

It must be a bug with my App, but I did try deleting and fresh download, but it still has the same problem
