Sky FTTP / Option 61

Switching to Sky from BT on Wednesday. Doing some preparatory reading I have just discovered that my current Netgear RAX20 router might not be compatible with Sky's FTTP offering as it requires MER rather than PPPoE. Anyone encountered this recently?
At present my RAX20 does great for the house - full signal anywhere internally. It's not great in the garden, so I was planning to use the new Sky hub upstairs near a window to push better signal out to the garden, but may need to reverse that now. Pain in the arse the Sky one isn't wall mountable though.
