Morning all, pulling my hair out with this one!

Have an old Toshiba satellite machine, I'm passing on to someone (who I think wants it to run some legacy software) so I want to reset it to factory. I've created a recovery USB on the machine I'm trying to reset, but when I try to carry out a reset I get this:

I've tried rebooting and forcing to boot from the USB which it does, but all the reboot/reset options just end up with me back in windows.

Is there any way to get to a command prompt and just format the entire HDD from there or any other method I can use please? New owner will probably do a fresh install of Windows 10 anyway, I just need to clear everything ready.

if you just want to format the drive and not have windows on it. use gparted live https://gparted.org/livecd.php

if you want to end up with win 8.1 just do a fresh install from disk.

Did you make the USB drive bootable? Not all of them are.

I think so, it boots from the USB, asks for keyboard layout, then goes into a menu. I take the reset/fix option and it just boots into windows as normal.
Wondering about just downloading Windows 10 and installing without a product key. New owner can worry about licencing it.
