Woke up this morning and checked my MET office app for today's weather only to find I'd mysteriously drifted 150 miles north in my sleep... I was now in the middle of an industrial estate in Fife!
Checked my wife's phone...the same, checked Google maps...the same. In fact every app thinks I've moved during the night.
Has one of their satellites slipped or something?
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Have you looked outside? I've had a few heavy nights like that before.

During my more "interesting" days I once woke up in an unfamiliar house and had to hunt round for a piece of mail to see what the address was so I could order a taxi!

Just checked mine, too.

It thinks I'm in the summerhouse - I'm actually in the lounge. smile

Google has been having location issues for a few weeks. I popped into Tesco last night at around 8pm and it says I left the store at 4:32am, when I was tucked up in bed (honest Guv).

A while ago, Google maps had me in Aberdeen (when I live near Chester). That was both laptops and PC, but Google maps on phones was correct. I tried alsorts to try and tell Maps where I lived, but nothing worked, so everti.e I opened Google Maps, it open in Aberdeen.

Then after a few weeks it just magically corrected itself. It could be to do with your IP address and where Google thinks it's located?

i've got this and have had for 3 or more weeks. iphone 15 on EE. Diagnostics on device showed nothing. Have done everything including a full manual reset of phone (including ing well installing and setting up every app again manually), and it's still fking happening. Raised a complaint with EE as they initially it wasn't their issue.
