Potentially the same problem here, as we have two 27" iMacs.

I'd just buy the newest secondhand 27" available from a reputable seller on eBay. I think they last updated the 27" in 2019, and sold them for a couple of years.
Both of ours (late 2015) were bought secondhand, no problems.

If it has to be new, I'd go for a Mini with a decent display.

I’d wanted a 27 inch iMac myself , but went with a Mac mini and benq 4k 27 inch display instead. Both via Amazon as they were quite well discounted.

It doesn’t look like there will be another 27 inch iMac , and the studio display was out of budget.

When this 27" iMac dies I will go to a Mini with monitor, not the 24" iMac.

I was gifted a 21" mid 2014 about 3.5 years ago, first thing I done was add a USB 3.0 SSD drive and velcroed it to the back, cloned the internal HDD to it, then changed the boot order to always use the SSD, works a treat and still going strong plus quick enough for browsing/YT/docs
etc - if you want to squeeze another few years out of it then that's an option thumbup

(nb.-I've got W10 bootcamp on the old HDD for a rarely used piece of software, eff me the boot up and loading times are horrific!)

Thanks guys. I,m thinking I will have a look at the new 24 screen as I just want a new one that works well and I have no idea about Stevo,s suggestion as i,m not that computer techy. Its amazing that Safari can just stop websites working, i mean now I cant even open the full ads on AT ffs! Yet go over to firefox and it works.

What version OS are you running? Click the Apple logo top left and 'about this Mac'.

I have a 2009 iMac 27" running High Sierra and a MB Air 2013 running Mojave without any issues.

You could just not use Safari.

I've a 2010 27" iMac which is still going. The OS and Safari is no longer being update so gradually more and more web pages will fail to work properly. I have Chrome as my 2nd browser which still loads the web pages correctly.

That's a more flexible solution for most, I agree. We're fortunate that we have a couple of desktop stations we decamp to, and then use tablets for the mobile stuff.

My current setup is an Apple refurb Mac Mini M2 with a 28" screen that was on offer. I've never had an iMac, I know they are handy space saver to have an all in one, but Mini and screen is just about the same desk space and I'd rather not be locked in to the same computer and screen if I want to upgrade one or the other.

My 2015 iMac has no problems at all with Safari. AT website works fine.

Have you checked for updates? OS 10.15 (Catalina) is the latest version that works on a 2015 I think.
Might be worth clearing the cache/cookies too.

I got it wrong earlier. A 2015 imac can run Monterey, OS 12.7.
You are 4 versions behind the latest that your machine can support. High Sierra was released in 2017.

I'd start with updating before replacing it. Good chance it'll solve your problem.

My previous iMac was a 2010 model. High Sierra was the newest OS that could run on it, and I was having problems with Safari on certain websites - that's the main reason I replaced it.

I updated our 2012-on version from High Sierra to Catalina and it borked it, something to do with the Fusion Drive. I managed to recover by doing an internet recovery and making a new partition, but plan to do a reinstall + restore via Time Machine if you go the same route.

You can update older unsupported macs but it’s a bit of a faff.

What happens when you try to update? What error do you get?
