What phone with best camera please (Not Apple)

Since my phone hit a hard floor it's never been the same.

It's over 4 years old too so probably time to get a new one.

The only thing that interests me on phones is a good camera facility.

I'm looking at an S24, the smaller of the two. Comes with a free £300 tablet too.

Any suggestions if there is a better camera available please? Something coming along soon?

S24 & S24 Ultra have different camera set ups, the Ultra is better.

However the answer is a Pixel 8 (or Pro if you want telephoto), some of the rate the Pixel over the S24 and vice versa.

The usual answers are Galaxy S series or Pixel series.

I've just bought an S24 Ultra, which takes fantastic (to my non-expert eyes) photos, way better than the Sony Xperia Iii which it replaced...

Pixel 8 Pro IMO

It's a superb camera; the software is superb and overall it's a brilliant phone with no bloat and Vanilla Android

Don't they have battery problems. Seem to remember reading reviews about them running out of juice quicker than rivals.

Nope, mine easily lasts a day, coming off charge at 7am and back on at 11pm, it's currently (12:42pm) at 91%

Never had any issues with battery life on any of my Pixel phones (4XL, 6 Pro, 7 Pro and now 8 Pro) - mainly used as my business mobile as my IP 15PM is my main driver etc

The P8P lasts me well and I'm on it a lot at times!

Check out the Chinese phones using a 1 inch sensor, I'm currently using an Oppo find X6 Pro and it takes phenomenal photos.

This year's model is the X7 ultra, the software isn't quite as good as Samsung but I suspect the 1 inch sensor will make its way into most flagship phones as time goes on.
