I foolishly switched from BT to Virgin knowing how useless they were, only reason no Bt Fibre here, only Virgin.
They were meant to be installing it next week but i recieved an email this morning asking me to get email address off neighbors so they can get permission to install fibre at my house.
I am not happy to do that.
We share a drive, yes i know, but the fibre was getting installed through my garden. Not shared!
They have postponed installation till i provide the info required. I wont be doing so.
Can i cancel before its installed?

I recently left Virgin (cablemodem) and had no issues at all quickly getting to someone who would take my cancellation. Granted, I was cancelling because I was literally leaving the property and physically did not require their service any more. May have helped that I was on their 'monthly' service and only had Internet, not TV and phone too like many have.
On the other hand, a workmate recently moved house and he spent hours trying to cancel (he decided to get BT at his new place) and spent hours being given the run-around on the phone. So I guess it's luck of the draw.
BTW, they really do need neighbours permission sometimes to run fibre into your premises so I wouldn't hold that against them. Almost certainly the same story with everyone else (inc. Openreach)
