I have a Samsung Frame connected to an XBOX (One) which previously worked fine through HDMI 1 on the "one connect" box that leads back to the TV. But now (in any of the HDMI ports) it tells me there's no connection - regardless of turning "Input Signal Plus" on or off, reetting the TV etc.

Google suggests this is a Samsung issue related to an update - presumably, this is why it's gone from working fine to not working at all.

The problem is... the TV is fitted flush to the wall with the cables buried and plastered over, so swapping the TV is going to be an utter ballache.

Has anyone else conquered this issue? Anything else I can try?

Factory reset the TV and don’t connect it to the Wi-Fi, which will put it on an older software version when it worked. You can update to the second latest one via USB if needed

Oh oh, as part of trying to fix it, I reset the TV and reconnected to Wifi... does this mean I've buggered up that chance to fix?

No, you can restore factory settings anytime.

This may be in an engineering menu of some kind (where you have to press a combo of buttons to access)

Alternatively you can download a previous software version from Samsungs website I think, and make the tv update itself from a USB stick

You can reconnect the tv to Wi-Fi after this as long as you have turned automatic updates off

Ah, ok... I will try to give this a try. Thank you.

(I have the technical skills of a neanderthal... I may be posting pics of the electrical fire later.)

EDITED TO ADD:

Massive fail, there's only the most recent update on the Samsung website, so I can't revert to an earlier one. frown

Restoring factory settings should still dove your problems though. I’m not sure if it could cause you to lose certain on demand services though depending on the age of your TV

I've tried twice, and nothing changes - I'm fast approaching the point where I might need to rip it off the wall and throw it in the sea... hehe

I even followed this whole process, with no luck:

Before you get to that stage, a couple of things you can check.

Use a different HDMI cable to rule that out.

If your xbox is using HDR, check it on another TV and turn it off (i had similar with my PS4 that stopped the signal being read due to it being a HDMI 1 cable and changing the port on the TV to a non HDR one).

So…

I now have an XBOX Series X, which I thought could connect to a Samsung Frame, but it won’t!

It’s even got the XBOX logo on whichever hdmi I plug in, but it then just says no signal detected.

Time for a new TV I think.
