I've been a personal user of Teamviewer for quite a few years, using it to help my aging parents and a few other friends with various IT issues over the years. For some reason, Teamviewer has now decided I'm not a personal user and it keeps logging me out after 2-3 minutes. From various searches to resolve the issue, I found this page - https://www.teamviewer.com/en/special/reset-manage... but it hasn't particularly helped.

I did manage to get a message through to the support team (as a personal user I don't get support so I'm lucky this worked) and they've offered 2 possible solutions.

1) Buy a licence - not going to happen as I'm not using it commercially and I'll just find another solution,

or I need to complete....

2) THIS FORM is a declaration of private use that needs to be printed, signed personally and sent back to us replying to this email.

So I'm trying to progress option 2 - but when I click on the link, I just get "mailings.teamviewer.com’s server IP address could not be found." I've put that domain into 'Down or just for me' and it says it's down. i sent this info back to Teamviewer and all I got by return was a simple re-transmission of the initial email with the 2 options.

If anyone is able to get access to the form that should be linked, please let me know and I'll PM you my email address.

If all else fails, I'll either give Windows Remote Assitance or something else like AnyDesk a go and then try to teach my folks how to install / use that from their end. If only I had access to a remote control / assistance program I could do it for them........

Oh, and I can fully assure you all, I am a personal user and not using it commercially.

This is the form that I was asked to submit under similar circumstances.

I have removed my data from it.

Teamviewer form

You should be able to download the form and edit it using a pdf editor.

Thanks Doug, yes I can access your form so that can be my fall back position if I can't get access to the form they sent me. Much appreciated.

I take it you are unable to access the link I posted at 2)?

I had pretty much this same problem a few years ago (aged parents remote "support") - TV suddenly stopped working for me and I was told I had been kicked out for commercial use.

I did either email them or complete something online but can't remember what - heard nothing for weeks, maybe months, and assumed they were always going to ignore me and gave up, then got an email out of the blue saying my usage had been restored.

I didn't use it a huge amount and was not sure why I was challenged on it - I did on a couple of occasions use it in another chrome window while accessing my work serving through RDP on another chrome window so wondered if they could tell this and thought that was why I was using it commercially. I was also trying to use it to connect to my Dad's PC and phone, not just a single PC.

I have used TV since then with no issue, albeit not nearly as much.

That seems to go to a web form for me, although I didn't fill it out.

From your link, I get to a page where step one is 'Access the reset page' which links to the same page as my link.
From the page I get with your link, where you can see the form in Step 2, that's just a jpeg - not the actual form - the form to fill in is the one from the link in Step 1.

This is the link I'm trying to access, the one Teamviewer support sent to me and said I need to complete, sign and send back.

https://mailings.teamviewer.com/d/d.pdf?o0elp6wy00...

The full (visible) URL/link is:

https://mailings.teamviewer.com/d/d.pdf?o0elp6wy00ff2u0qd0000000000000000000bbruphy32csvstoduezfuc423322&utm_source=TV-newsletter-en&mailid=18192339&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=news2018-Q3-StayBlocked-cohorte7-NC&utm_content=Intro%2B1%2BText&pid=news.2018-Q3-StayBlocked-cohorte7-NC-en&lid=

If anyone is able to get this link to work and let me know if it generates a form, I'd be very grateful.

Are you accessing TV from home or from work?

From home through a domestic Gigaclear fibre connection. The only thing that has changed in the last month or so is that I'm now on a static IP and I've also installed a PiHole on my system. Other than that, it's all pretty much vanilla.

When I click on https://www.teamviewer.com/reset it takes me to https://www.teamviewer.com/en/special/reset-manage... & that page contains a web form - in Chrome & even in Firefox running NoScript, UBlock & Privacy Badger:

I can enter data into that form as you can see. It must be something at your end?

How can I make this any clearer to those reading this? (sorry for formatting, I couldnt get it to display 2 separate code lines)

Your link in the post above - https://www.teamviewer.com/en/special/reset-management/

My link in the first paragraph of my first post - https://www.teamviewer.com/en/special/reset-management/

They look the same to me and I've tried it multiple times. It doesn't work for me.

TeamViewer support has provided me a link, which for whatever reason, I cannot access, so it is that link and that link only that I want to access, or the form that 'hides' behind it.

This one - https://mailings.teamviewer.com/d/d.pdf?o0elp6wy00... in case anyone doesn't read the whole thread.

Have you tried removing/disabling the PiHole?

I run pihole and can't open half the links in this thread.

Yup, that was one of the many things I've tried.

Have you tried accessing the link on your mobile using the 5g/4g connection rather than your home wifi?

Try changing the DNS within pihole.
