Preferably free. For Chrome!

I have 4 technicians who are billable by the hour. I just need to be able to plan their schedule and then at the end of each day change the job hours to reflect actuals, and allocate their time to one of three categories - invoicable, non invoicable, and inactive.

The latter is aimed at improving our invoicable work, as I believe fault finding should be chargeable for example. I’d rather have them sat on their arse than working for free as at present this is masking our true efficiency / profitability.

Is there a simple bit of software that can do this for me? I tasked the responsible admin with it and he started using excel / google Spreadsheet but stopped updating it. I’d like something very simple such that it gets done.

For 4 people I’d stick with excel. It can’t be too complex with only 3 categories of time.

I've used some Zoho products in the past. They usually do what they say on the tin.

Biased but ok comparison chart here:

Would be nice if it was this simple. I thought so but the service admin has not taken to it and has asked for something simpler.

I’ll check out zoho, thanks 🙏

If they're struggling with doing it in Excel, of all things, you probably need to get on Indeed...

When I saw Shirt's response it did suggest to me the software is probably not the issue!

If they stopped doing what you told them, you could have told them to mark it on a bit of paper with pencil, they still need to actually do it.
