Gmail Conversation View

I don't think I've changed any settings but, from yesterday PM, Gmail now groups emails (with the same subject) from any sender into one conversation.

We have hundreds of very similarly titled emails plus a web-submit form with the same auto-filled subject. Now, all the emails are lumped together and clicking 'reply' seems to show the history with loads of emails/details from loads of senders.

Conversation view is usually pretty useful, but has been able to differentiate senders. I've tried switching it on and off, and it's the same (from yesterday) on mobile & desktop.
