I bought a springy pickerupper to fetch all of the objects out small children have dropped behind the radiators rolleyes which works well but can’t grab the bigger items.

Does there exist a thin attachment for a vacuum cleaner that would suck onto objects and let me lift them up without swallowing them completely? We have a sofa attachment but the wide bit doesn’t fit behind the radiator.

An old pair of tights over the end of the crevice tool might do the trick.

That'sone of the rudest sounding sentences I've written without intentions of being rude 😀

That's a great shout, would never have thought of that, although still have the problem of the tool not being able to get far enough down the radiator, it really needs to be a centimetre or two in diameter, and probably flexible. Will keep thinking, there might be something I can bodge together with a length of garden hose.

Got one, whatever goes down the back of the radiator needs to be flexible. And it's likely too big anyway.

Ah dancer, thank you. Seems 'flexible crevice tool' was the phrase I was missing, the one above has mixed reviews but there are a few more out there that would do the job.

I've already removed a lot with the grabber but I'll report back with a pic of what else is behind there - likely every single block from 1 to 12 of a shape-toy clock is in there, along with numerous pens, an old mobile phone, possibly a credit card and hopefully zero organic matter. :-/

Tape a bit of pipe or hose to the crevice tool and use that with some tights over to catch stuff.
