Hello to anybody who is reading.

I have a Logi wireless keyboard and mouse (m195), and the scroll wheel on the mouse sometimes stops scrolling.

If I switch the mouse off and back on again, then it will work for a while.
Sometimes it will just start working again without any intervention.

I've replaced (under warranty) the keyboard and mouse with the same model, and the problem persists.

I've turned off all other 2.4GHz wireless items in the room, but the problem persists.

Does anybody have any ideas what to try next?

Might be the clutch slipping or sticking. This can be an issue on the MX mice and I did suffer from it time to time with my second one.

Sorry, I should have made myself clearer - The wheel moves normally, it just sometimes does not scroll up/down the screen nor does it zoom in/out of pictures/maps.

Could be dirt/dust in the wheel. Works a bit like an ABS sensor, and the holes in the wheel can get clogged with crap as they're tiny and it won't register that the wheel is turning.

Other than that, throw it in the bin and replace with a new one that works.

Thanks for the thought - The same problem started again within a couple of days of using the [brand new] warranty replacement.

It's not one of the dual mode mice, which has flopped back to Bluetooth?

I've not heard of a dual mode mouse. This one is just a normal wireless mouse, similar to the ones I've been using for years.
What particularly puzzles me is that it will often just start working normally again without any intervention.

Is the receiver plugged into the back port on a large desktop PC?

Could you plug the receiver in to a different port or use an extension lead to stop the case blocking the RF signal.

It's an 'all in one' desktop PC.
I've moved the receiver from one of the USB ports at the rear, it is now in a USB port at the side.
It is in a direct line with, and within about 18" from, the mouse.
