I have a smart TV which is from Italy, while it does get apps it doesn't get free view. I run this TV on the WIFI as I do not have an aerial,so was wondering how I can get more channels with this system and TV that I have. Is a Firestick the answer? tia.

Firestick, Google or Roku are the best cheap add ons, although Roku seem to be near impossible to get at the moment.

Another way is to get a Humax or Manhattan PVR so you can also record Freeview.

I haven’t watched Freeview on any of my TVs for years, always through the PVR.

Edit - just seen you dont have an aerial, so scrap the PVR option.

I use AppleTVs on all of mine but Firestick, etc should do a similar job.

They plug into the HDMI port, powered by a USB (either from the TV or mains adapter plug).

You wont get Freeview (or a TV guide based platform) from these sticks, just a plethora of Apps. So check the one you choose has the Apps you want.
