Printer probs - HP printer stuck in "single cartridge mode"

Hi All
Any printer experts out there please?
Have just changed black cartridge in HP Envy 5640e with another genuine cartridge. The printer has immediately stoppped printing properly and an alert on the printer screen is saying only printing in "single cartridge mode" . when we do a test page we just get a blank piece of paper.
We have checked to make sure the cartridge tab is removed and have removed the cable from the plug from power but it is still doing it

Do I need to do a hard rest of the printer? and would you know how to do this please ?

Your user name is appropriate as I've usually found the best way to deal with HP printer issues is to leave it alone for 24hrs then try again!

Took back cartridge , replacement worked!

for HP printers I’ve always found that percussive maintenance is the best answer - it may not fix the printer but it makes me feel a whole lot better!
