The Yahoo Mail app has broken down. No-one I've asked who uses the app can open it. I have set up Yahoo as an additional account in G-Mail for the duration of the outage.

I *only* had problems with the app on both android and iOS. The web email worked fine, deleted the cache and data from the app and it started working again after the bug fix they issued.

Think it’s been the final straw for many people to jump ship.

I had problems yesterday - had to force stop, delete cache, delete data. Worked fine after that.

It's the 'force stop' that made the difference and it worked for me too. The simple clear cache and data didn't. The drawback is that you have to re-enter your password and it's been so long...

Yeah.

Annoyingly, I tried the force stop first and it didn't make any difference. I think you basically need to reset the damned app. Wonder why. Was there some kind of relevant update?

I don't know, but even deleting the app and re-installing it didn't work yesterday. If it weren't for the fact that Yahoo offers effectively an infinite capacity and I have been using Yahoo as my principal email address since c.2001, I would have left before now.
