My O2 sim only (was Virgin mobile) price will increase in April.....
From April 2024 the monthly price of your mobile airtime plan (that's your inclusive minutes, texts and data) will rise in line with the 4.9% RPI rate. Plus, an additional 3.9% as is set out in your terms.

EE sent an almost identical one out, and no doubt all the others are doing the same.
There was a ruling/directive from Ofgem that they were not happy with it as customers had no way of knowing in £ what the price increase was going to be when signing the contract. From memory contracts going forwards will specify a mid contract price rise in the paperwork, or you can go with one of the smaller providers who offer the same price across the whole contract.

With the cost of living crisis the extra 43p it is going to cost me I will have to cut back somewhere
I’m budgeting for it being 44p. I doubt they will round down in favour of those of us skinflints on the £5 tariff. Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
