Hi all,

Looking to get a website built, what would be the best platform to build it on, I've heard about wordpress, lavarel etc
but I haven't got a clue about these things, the site will be similar to rightmove so mainly for people searching for
property with the usual pictures and text etc.

I quite like the layout/design of algarveproperty.com but any advice/recommendations would be gladly accepted.

The Algarve property website is built on a custom system connected to some sort of property CRM.

If you aren't using this CRM already or don't intend to I would suggest you build the site on Wordpress as you will be able to easily plug into whatever CRM you decide to at a later date relatively painlessly.

If you want to talk through something like this let me know. we have a fair bit of experience in property websites.

Just completed a project for an estate agency using the following:

WordPress
Divi Theme
WP Property Hive - Plugin that links to customers property management system. In this case Loom.

Cost wise..
WordPress - Free
Hosting - £5 ish a month for entry level basic hosting
Divi Theme - £250 one off cost or approx £80 a year
WP Property Hive - Approx £300 yearly

Plus the costs of someone to build for you if you're not building yourself.

My advice: that website is so old it should be a museum piece. That's a circa 2013-ish early Bootstrap-based website design. I wouldn't be taking too much inspiration from a decade-old design.

I once threw together a website on Wix, in about two lunch breaks, without going hungry.

It did what was needed.

The main thing IMHO, is to understand what the punter wants to see.
