A rep for Lit Fibre called the other day.

I'm in no hurry to move from my current ISP but their router is a bit rubbish and Lit seem to be offering a good deal.

Any experiences of them amongst the PH massive?

I hadn't heard of them either but got royally pizzed off with Talktalk so took the plunge, they couldn't be any worse than TT could they? They weren't, they have been fine. Gone from 70/15 to 100/100 for £18 per month FTTP (no phone line), don't need anything faster as it's just for me but I think they do faster plans, 6 months free and fixed price for 2 years. Seems pretty stable, speeds are as expected, router seems decent, very few drop outs but then I am mainly based in a room directly above it, but the signal does cover all of the house. They will install their own fibre so I had to get openrach to come and remove the old BT stuff as litfibre couldn't use the existing holes in the wall but could use the existing underground pipe to feed the line through.

Over all so far so good. I think I have a referral code somewhere, if you take it up you get an extra month free over whatever offer they give you so let me know if you want it..

Had one of their door2door salesdroids at mine early this week. Was polite and pointed out I was already dealing with my existing ISP. He then told my next door neighbour I had signed up. I'd advise avoiding them just for that.

Just heard Cityfibre are acquiring Litfibre, dunno what if any difference that will make, time will tell I guess.

Had a rep come to us with a pitch. To be honest, the deal doesn't look that bad and can't be any worse than Sky is right now for where I'm staying.

Litt were working with our local council to upgrade areas, which may or may not be a clever move. Only time will tell.
