Apple Music - keeping the screen on when driving
Discussion
I've gone for the free 6 month trial after purchasing some Airpods and now listen to it through Bluetooth in the car. The problem is the screen going off and having to unlock it every time I want to look at it or change a track/podcast. Is there a way of stopping it, as per the Spotify app??
I do the same with my iPhone in the car - keep the screen on whilst playing Spotify while the phone is in a cradle.
I have found that changing the Bluetooth connection type does the trick. If you go into Settings > Bluetooth and, against the specific Bluetooth connection, pick the icon that looks like an i in a circle, this will then bring up the connection menu. I then change the Device Type to Car Stereo. This seem to prevent the screen from going off, but you may need to play with the different Device Type to get this to work for you.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, I don't think it's device specific as Spotify doesn't close the screen down, just Apple Music. I have found that changing the Bluetooth connection type does the trick. I'll have a closer look.
Marvis is a good app that plays and controls Apple Music. There are options to leave the screen on permanently or only when charging. I purchased it because it has a landscape mode which is how my phone is mounted in two of our cars.
