TV Won't Communicate to Internet
Discussion
I have a Philips TV which, up to now, has been working well with it's WiFi connection.
However, last night it seems to not want to communicate with the network - this is despite showing that it is connected to the network. Whenever I click on an app, such as iPlayer or You Tube, all I get are blue circles rolling around interminably.
I've tried resetting the router and resetting and swapping around various repeaters (I use DeVolo 500 repeaters) - all to no avail.
Any ideas or suggestions?
My computers and phone all have no trouble connecting to the internet.

Have you deleted the TV from the router and the WiFi connection from the TV? Perhaps try giving it a dedicated IP and see if changing the WiFi channel works?
I had a similar with with a fairly modern (2yr old ish) Samsung recently and, after trying just about everything, had to factory reset the TV, which solved it.

Have you properly restarted the TV, by which I mean actually power it down fully, turn off at the plug, leave for a minute or so and turn on from completely off.
I had a similar issue on mine before Christmas tried several things including the TV and lots of other things that didn't seem to help until I tried a full power down and restart. It's been fine ever since

Give up and just use the TV for a display for something like a Firestick or AppleTV.The built-in 'Smart' stuff is crap. It's often poorly put together, on a budget and not only is it exceedingly noisy on the network, it ends up end-of-life very quickly.
Personally, I disable the built-in stuff on all my TVs and use the AppleTV boxes instead.

Philips, like a few other manufacturers, now use Android for TV the the underlying system so there should be no need for 3rd party products unless you run out of space. Additionally you're not at risk of the likes of YoTube falling out of bed with a 3rd party product maker resulting in the YouTube app you're used to disappearing (happened twice to me, though first time I was not much of a YouTube watcher so was no issue on that occasion). The built-in 'Smart' stuff is crap. Weeellll... Other than the 'bloat-ware' of all the additional crap installed. Either way, you still eventually hit the obsolescence problem.M

No worse than my Fire sticks and my old one was so slow it couldn't actually install updates. Agree that there are apps I don't want or need, but I can hide them.M
Having said that typical Google/YouTube for occasional adverts on the main screen.

I actually did buy a plug-in smart device for a small TV I use in my motorhome (or garden shed when working on my models). It's Android based but for some reason won't download any of the BBC apps. It says that they "aren't compatible with this device". Why should that be?
I use iPlayer and BBC Sounds a lot so that's a bit annoying.
The solution to this issue is to cast BBC radio and TV to the TV from my iPhone - via the plug-in stick.
