I spent several minutes searching for the printer ink thread from a few months back, to no avail.

Specifically an HP Deskjet 2700 something or other that uses HP-Compatible or the HP 305 cartridges themselves, both tri-colour & Black.

Should I stick with Amazon or are there any significant savings elsewhere online via third-party suppliers?

Recommendations welcomed . . . smile

Have you looked at the HP instant ink plans?
Not suitable for everyone, depends on usage etc
But it works for me as a light user
No faffing about with dodgy copies etc etc

Avoid HP everything at all costs, especially printers.

I saw similar advice to this a couple of years ago on a similar thread. And Voir-la, the printer now works every time.

I am a very light user so 10 prints / month is sufficient for me.

You can’t beat them; you have to join them. Unfortunately!

This - what a dreadful company -

‘Friends don’t let friends by HP printers’

The ink costs more per ml than most 25 year old whisky!

Their latest ruse is that you have to use their cartridges for ‘your security’ (more like securing your cash into their bank account) …

Aparantly non HP cartridges could be used to inject a virus onto your computer …

How about removing the fuxking chips from the cartridge to solve the virus threat and just supplying ink?

Hopefully this year they will get their deserves with with the class action about HP scanners requiring ink to use the scanner.

Utter scum
